About us
BE-Cold is the professional federation of the Belgian cold and frozen storage sector. Our members — 27 companies with a combined storage capacity of 4.7 million cubic meters — store and distribute everything that needs to stay cold: from frozen vegetables and meat to vaccines. It is a sector that rarely stands out, until it comes to a standstill. During the pandemic, the energy crisis, and the disrupted supply chains, the cold chain remained intact, and that is no coincidence. BE-Cold represents the interests of these companies with the government and social partners, monitors regulations — energy, sustainability, food safety — and connects our members with their European colleagues via ECSLA and GCCA. In short: we ensure that those who keep the cold chain running are heard.
