Independent advice for a supply chain that continues to perform

Who are 4Supplychain and what sets you apart from your competitors?

Jasper Veurink: 4Supplychain is a specialist supply chain consultancy firm. We work with medium-sized and large organisations that wish to improve their supply chain. We do this in the areas of planning and logistics. This may involve cost reduction, delivery reliability, stock management or digital transformation. What sets us apart is that we do not offer a one-size-fits-all solution; we always start from the client’s operational reality.

Marc de Lange: Exactly. Many companies know there’s room for improvement in their supply chain, but they don’t know exactly where the real pain points lie. We help to clarify that and then roll up our sleeves to sort it out – from strategy right through to implementation on the shop floor. What’s more, we work independently, which gives us the freedom to offer our clients ‘best-of-breed’ solutions. This means we aren’t tied to a ‘one-size-fits-all’ solution.

What will you be bringing to Transport & Logistics in Ghent?

Marc: We’re here to have a chat. Visitors who are grappling with issues relating to planning, procurement, distribution or digitalisation are welcome to come and bounce ideas off us. No sales pitch – just a substantive discussion about the issues at hand.

Jasper: We’d also like to share some practical insights from recent projects. How do we help organisations achieve the right delivery performance whilst keeping stock levels low? How can you use data effectively in a supply chain context, without getting bogged down in complexity? These are the kinds of questions that come up time and time again in practice.

AI in the supply chain: hype or reality?

Jasper: It’s a reality, but you need to approach it with a level head. AI can add value in demand forecasting, planning or risk identification, but only if the underlying data and processes are in order. We help companies take that step in a way that actually works in practice.

Marc: The great thing is that we’ve already applied this in various sectors: food, retail and industry. The challenges are similar, but the context differs. We’re bringing that breadth of experience with us to Ghent.

Finally: who should definitely visit stand 1614?

Marc: For anyone responsible for supply chain, logistics or operations who feels there’s more to be gained. Whether you have a specific problem or simply want to know what’s going on in the field, we’re here to help.

Jasper: And for anyone who’s still in two minds: we promise a good chat. No slides, no run-of-the-mill demos. Just a chat about what really matters in your supply chain, whilst enjoying a cup of coffee and a delicious stroopwafel.
