
Montea signs a long-term lease agreement with JD.com for approximately 50,000 m² at a prime logistics location in Willebroek
The former Decathlon hub at Park De Hulst becomes JD.com’s new Belgian logistics hub
Montea has leased its largest warehouse at P ark De Hulst in Willebroek , Belgium to JD Logistics, the logistics branch of JD.com. Developed in 2017 for Decathlon, the hub comprises 47,600 m² of GLA and today ranks among the ten largest assets in Montea ’s portfolio.
Based on revenue, JD.com is China's number one retailer and ranks among the world's leading retail and technology companies . The group combines retail operations with an extensive logistics network and advanced supply chain solutions .
The newly established presence in Willebroek is part of JD.com’s European growth strategy, with the company already active in the United Kingdom, Germany , the Netherlands, France, Belgium and Luxembourg. JD.com will use the site to further expand its e-commerce operations in Belgium and Luxembourg. The warehouse will be equipped with a high degree of automation , tailored to the efficient storage, processing, and distribution of online orders.
