Customs is implementing a new goods accounting system for the import of goods by sea.

When unloading at a Belgian seaport, the carrier must submit a Temporary Storage Declaration to customs, the terminal operator must confirm the arrival of the goods with a Presentation Notification, and before the goods are allowed to leave the terminal, a subsequent declaration must be submitted by a declarant in IDMS or NCTS.

This process was standardised by the port community in a community platform: the Inbound Release Platform.

During this session, we will explain how this platform works and what advantages it offers for all parties.

We will discuss the possibilities for reusing data via the Consignment Info API in detail.
