Transuniverse Forwarding, based in Wondelgem (Ghent), is one of Belgium’s most experienced groupage specialists. Founded in 1983, the company now serves more than 40 countries with 200 employees and 30,000 m² of storage space. In addition to road transport, Transuniverse also offers air freight, customs declarations, Control Tower Service and logistics solutions.
Strong new partnerships
2024 and 2025 were characterised by strategic partnerships. Together with the Portuguese specialist Torrestir Transuniverse has been operating an exclusive daily service between Portugal and Belgium since 2024, with transit times of 3 days. The Czech-Slovak logistics company Naxco/OTEC, meanwhile, is strengthening groupage flows between Belgium, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Both partnerships anchor Transuniverse even more firmly within the European network.
Investments in people and resources
Transuniverse continues to invest heavily. In Mouscron, a specialised Maghreb department has grown into a fully-fledged team of eight staff members, with around 15 weekly departures to Morocco, Tunisia and Algeria. Specially designed multi-purpose Krone semi-trailers, suitable for both double-deck pallet transport and hanging textile transport, significantly increase efficiency on these routes.
A new Solutions department has been set up in Wondelgem to handle more complex chartering assignments, such as project cargo, oversized goods and works of art. This complements the subsidiary Welpa Trans, which continues to operate in the spot market.
