VIL is het innovatieplatform voor de logistieke sector. VIL helpt Vlaamse bedrijven om innovatieve logistieke projecten te realiseren en zo hun competitiviteit te verhogen. Als ledenorganisatie brengt VIL bedrijven en organisaties uit diverse sectoren bij elkaar – zowel verladers als logistieke dienstverleners maar ook kennisinstellingen, overheidsinstanties en bedrijven vanuit de IT- engineering-, interim-, bouw en real estate wereld.

Grid congestion and infrastructure limitations are slowing down the rollout of shore power in Flanders. The VIL project Floating Battery shows that today only 30% of berths are suitable for fixed shore power.
Flemish field trials show the impact of urban logistics: up to 55% fewer delivery trips
Up to 55 per cent fewer delivery journeys, 29 per cent lower delivery costs, more efficient logistics for local businesses and a new use for 1.42 tonnes of surplus food.
