The KARSAFE system provides a high level of safety in the loading bay area when the use of wheel chocks is not useful or possible. Automatic trailer detection starts the loading cycle. The door is authorised to open after an automatic CDC (CLOSED DOOR CONTROL) self-test. In normal use, the operator does not need to take any action at the start or end of loading.

The Drive by Wire (DBW) platform for the YT Series terminal tractors receives commands from the automation kit or tele-operation kit. These commands are converted into actions in the same way the driver would in a manually operated vehicle. Terberg collaborates with suppliers to integrate an autonomous system that allows AutoTUG to share lanes with conventional trucks. This includes cameras, radars, and laser-based sensors for navigation, collision avoidance, and pedestrian detection. A central computer on the vehicle processes all sensor information in real-time, makes decisions, and verifies the route. DRIVE BY WIRE ECOSYSTEM The Terberg “drive by wire” vehicle is controlled via a CAN bus interface used for further automation or development. An automation layer is integrated into the vehicle with relevant safety levels in accordance with ISO 13849-1/2. The “drive by wire” controls the vehicle’s operational systems, such as the powertrain, braking system, steering system, fifth wheel, lift table, and lighting. ELECTRONIC DRIVER The second layer is the "Electronic Driver," which uses the drive-by-wire layer and can "control" the vehicle, meaning the vehicle can maneuver in a controlled manner along a pre-programmed path. This functional layer, developed by partners, provides the flexibility to connect the vehicle to a client's automation program for controlling vehicles. TERMINAL OPERATING SYSTEM (TOS) The third layer is the system from which the AutoTUG™ receives its instructions, the central logistics system that manages the fleet of AutoTUGs, among other things.

Topcats is introducing the Topcats Tier 1 gasket set for DAF DPF Euro 6 from 2017 for just 175 euros excluding VAT. With this product, the Specialist in Exhaust System Cleaning and Overhaul offers an additional service to DAF customers. 'Our technicians perform cleaning and overhauls daily for DAF truck dealers or maintenance garages. When reinstalling the DPF, new gaskets are often required because they are damaged, or the customer wants to install a new set as a precaution. We can now supply these directly from stock,' explains Reinier Pen, Technical Sales Manager at Topcats. Because the gasket set is compatible with many DAF series, it was immediately clear to Topcats that they could help many customers with this. The DAF XF, XG, XF+, XD, and XFC with engine type MX 11 or MX 13 all use the same type of Euro 6 DPF filter from 2017. A good reason, therefore, to start selling the product under their house brand.
