The business park is transforming into an energy hub thanks to a sustainable battery storage solution that maximizes the use of locally generated energy.

EcoSourcen transformed Hoek 76 Business Park into an energy hub with 215 kWh of battery storage and smart energy management for maximum self-consumption.

Hoek 76 Business Park has taken an important step toward smarter and more sustainable energy management. Although the site is equipped with 60 kWp of solar panels, a large share of the generated solar power could not be used effectively due to highly variable energy consumption. As a result, valuable renewable energy was either wasted or exported to the grid at low value.

To address this challenge, EcoSourcen implemented a 215 kWh battery storage solution connected to the existing solar installation. The battery acts as a buffer, storing excess solar energy and supplying it during peak demand periods. This enables businesses on-site to maximize self-consumption of renewable energy and reduce their reliance on the electricity grid.

The project includes a Risen Storage SU215E105LM battery managed by Eniris' smart energy management system, while the installation was carried out by Green Power Future. Thanks to this solution, the business park is evolving into a true energy hub where local energy generation, storage, and consumption are efficiently integrated.
